National Association of Realtors report shows high levels of community volunteering

The 2026 Community Aid and Real Estate (CARE) report from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) indicates high levels of community engagement among real estate professionals. According to the findings, nearly two-thirds of Realtors volunteer monthly, with those who do typically committing eight hours per month.

In terms of financial support, 84% of Realtors made charitable donations over the past year, with a typical donation amount of $1,500. The report also highlights significant involvement from industry leadership: 78% of broker-owners and 80% of association executives or MLS staff volunteer monthly.

Common areas for volunteer work include food banks, local schools, youth sports, veterans' initiatives, and youth mentoring. Additionally, the Realtors Relief Foundation has provided more than $53 million in disaster housing aid since 2001.
