National Bank launches three-day innovation initiative in Cyprus

National Bank is conducting a three-day series of events and meetings focused on the innovation ecosystem in Cyprus. The initiative involves participation from investment funds, universities, and technology companies.

Key participants include representatives from Uni. Fund, Metavallon, L-Stone Capital, Big Pi Ventures, and Investing For Purpose, alongside executives from Amazon, AWS, and Mastercard. The program features briefing sessions at the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus Technological University, including laboratory visits and participation in evaluating teams from the University of Cyprus Accelerator.

A central event, ‘Innovation Cyprus 2.0’, will take place on October 7 at the National Bank Administration Building in Nicosia as part of the Inspire Festival. The program includes discussions with Nikodemos Damianos, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, and Ernesto Panagiotou, General Manager of Transformation, Strategy and International Activities at National Bank. Other speakers and participants include John Christodoulou of Yianis Group Ltd, the startup MammoCheck, and representatives from Microsoft and Tototheo Global.
