National Bank of Malawi Pension Fund Reports 115% Investment Return
National Bank of Malawi Pensions Administration Limited (NBM PAL) announced an annual investment income of up to 115% for the 2025 fiscal year. The result was disclosed at a client‑engagement seminar in Blantyre, where CEO William Mabulekesi said the strong performance helps members build a reliable retirement fallback. NBM PAL manages roughly K700 billion in assets across various pension schemes, including stand‑alone funds.
Senior Business Development Manager Nenauthe Nkoloma of NBM Capital Markets highlighted the firm’s diversified investment approach, stressing risk management and the goal of delivering sustainable real returns. Titus Mtonyo, Head of Human Resources at Chibuku Products Ltd, praised the outcome, noting it far exceeded expectations. NBM PAL and NBM Capital Markets are wholly owned subsidiaries of National Bank of Malawi plc, which administers pension schemes and provides investment services for pension and other funds.
