National Bank of North Macedonia launches financial literacy program

The National Bank of North Macedonia is organizing a series of activities from October 28 to November 5 to observe World Savings Day on October 31 and Financial Literacy Days. The initiative aims to strengthen financial education, promote financial inclusion, and increase consumer awareness and protection regarding financial products and services in a digitalized environment.

Key activities include savings workshops and educational lectures for primary and secondary school students, including a quiz and a forum on the importance of saving for both the economy and individuals. A virtual event on gender-based financial inclusion will be held on November 4, featuring speaker Elizabeth Naumovski. Additionally, in collaboration with the World Bank, the bank will release an educational video regarding SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) to inform the population about the benefits of cross-border euro payments.
