National Blood Transfusion Center to host blood drive at Syntagma Metro
The National Blood Transfusion Center (EKEA), in collaboration with STASY S.A., is organizing a two-day voluntary blood donation drive at the Syntagma Metro Multi-use Hall. The event will take place on Thursday, September 3, and Friday, September 4, from 14:00 to 20:00.
This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to replenish blood reserves following seasonal shortages experienced during the summer months. The goal is to ensure adequate supplies are available heading into the autumn season.
Prospective donors must be between 18 and 65 years old. Requirements include having eaten a light meal, having slept for at least five hours, and disclosing any medications or illnesses to the medical staff. Individuals who have received a tattoo must wait at least four months before donating. Appointments can be scheduled via telephone or through the ‘Dinoume Aima’ mobile application.
