National Congress of Engineers to focus on AI and reform

The 70th National Congress of Engineers is scheduled to take place in Trieste from September 23 to 25. The event will address critical themes including professional reform, artificial intelligence, energy transition, digitalization, and sustainability.

Angelo Domenico Perrini, president of the Consiglio nazionale degli ingegneri (CNI), emphasized that the profession must play an active role in decision-making processes and the definition of public policies. He noted that the rapid advancement of science and technology requires engineers to provide technical-scientific expertise to help govern societal and economic transformations.
