National Council for Women promotes economic empowerment and identity in Egypt

The National Council for Women (NCW) in Egypt is advancing initiatives focused on economic empowerment and national identity. As part of the ‘Al-Masriya’ initiative, the NCW organized a roundtable discussion involving various government ministries—including Petroleum, Finance, Labor, and Planning—to enhance economic opportunities for women.

The discussion aimed to create an integrated path for empowerment by developing women's skills, improving product quality, and supporting marketing and networking for small and micro-enterprises. This effort aligns with the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2023 and Egypt Vision 2030.

Additionally, NCW President Amal Ammar participated in a panel titled ‘Institutions and Identity-Shaping Policies’ at the National Identity Conference held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Ammar emphasized that preserving national identity requires strengthening the ties between individuals, their families, and their country. She noted that investing in women's awareness and family stability is fundamental to social cohesion and the preservation of Egyptian identity.
