National Council of Engineers monitors Italy's Public Contracts Code

Angelo Domenico Perrini, president of the National Council of Engineers (CNI), has reaffirmed the organization's commitment to monitoring the application of the Public Contracts Code in Italy.

Speaking at the CNI's 70th National Congress, Perrini highlighted the council's active involvement in institutional discussions with the Ministries of Justice and Infrastructure and Transport. The CNI is currently participating in several key bodies, including the monitoring commission of the Superior Council of Public Works and working groups with ANAC to prepare standard tenders for engineering and architecture services.

Furthermore, the CNI is engaged in ministerial tables to update minimum environmental criteria for sectors such as construction, road infrastructure, and public lighting. The council's primary objectives include limiting the use of integrated contracting and framework agreements as standard procurement methods, monitoring the effects of cascading subcontracting, and seeking greater clarity regarding price revisions.
