Artificial Intelligence adoption surges across Italian professional sectors
Artificial Intelligence is seeing widespread adoption across various professional and social sectors in Italy. In the accounting profession, 80% of Italian accountants have already utilized AI, with 71% reporting significant reductions in time spent on repetitive tasks. Similarly, in the education sector, approximately 72% of teachers use AI tools at least once a week, primarily for tasks such as searching for information, developing teaching activities, and preparing tests.
To address the rapid integration of these technologies, the National Council of Engineers (CNI) has released a practical guide to help professionals navigate the regulatory, ethical, and liability-related aspects of AI use. This comes as organizations face a growing gap in perception: while human resources officers emphasize the importance of AI supervision, a global IBM study suggests that 60% of employees fear AI may weaken their critical thinking skills.
Beyond professional sectors, OpenAI is shifting its marketing strategy to normalize AI by targeting lifestyle, fitness, and family influencers. Meanwhile, in the United States, research indicates a unique trend where high usage of AI is accompanied by significant public anxiety, contrasting with more positive sentiments found in many other parts of the world.
