National Cryptocurrency Association releases US crypto holder map

The National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) has released an interactive map estimating the geographic distribution of approximately 67 million cryptocurrency holders in the United States. The data, which covers all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and 435 congressional districts, indicates that roughly one in four American adults owns cryptocurrency.

California holds the highest number of estimated holders at 9.5 million, followed by Texas with 5.94 million, Florida with 4.71 million, New York with 4.66 million, and Illinois with 2.64 million. Regionally, the South accounts for 38% of holders, the West for 27%, and the Midwest and Northeast each for 18%.

According to NCA-commissioned research, the cryptocurrency industry supports approximately 232,000 American jobs and contributes significantly to economic activity. NCA President Stuart Alderoty noted that the maps allow for detailed exploration of ownership by state and district.
