Key risks identified include fraudulent accommodation bookings, where criminals use fake advertisements for apartments or hotels with attractive prices. Users are advised to verify advertiser identities and use official platforms for payments.

Other warnings involve the use of free public Wi-Fi in locations like airports and cafes, which can allow third parties to intercept communications. Experts recommend using mobile data for sensitive tasks and being cautious of public USB charging points that may be manipulated to install malware. Additionally, sharing real-time travel updates or boarding passes on social media can signal a home is unoccupied or expose sensitive travel codes.
