National Enterprises Limited reports TT$254M profit
National Enterprises Limited (NEL) has reported a TT$254 million profit for the nine-month period ending June 2026, marking a significant turnaround from a TT$185 million loss during the same period the previous year.
The recovery was primarily driven by a TT$199 million positive fair-value movement across the company’s strategic portfolio, contrasting with a TT$238 million fair-value loss in the prior year. Operating profit remained steady at TT$56 million. Other financial highlights include a 14 per cent increase in dividend income to TT$55.6 million and a 12 per cent rise in total assets to TT$2.8 billion.
General Manager Charles Maynard stated that the company views itself as a dividend stock, noting that a new three-year strategic plan is being finalized. This plan will focus on acquiring assets that offer both growth potential and dividend income. NEL maintains a dividend policy of paying out 90 per cent of received annual dividend income, subject to board approval.
