National Falcons Center auction sales exceed 45 million riyals
The National Falcons Center has announced that its 2026 auction is scheduled to run from October 1 to November 30. This upcoming event follows six years of significant commercial activity in the local falconry market.
Since the auction's inception in 2020, total sales have reached approximately 45.286 million riyals for 455 falcons. Annual sales figures show a consistent trend: 2020 saw over 10 million riyals for 102 falcons, 2021 recorded over 8.347 million riyals for 95 falcons, and 2022 reached over 7.125 million riyals for 81 falcons. In 2023, sales exceeded 7.414 million riyals for 87 falcons, while 2024 saw roughly 6 million riyals for 50 falcons. The 2025 season concluded with 6.4 million riyals in sales for 40 falcons.
The auction specifically focuses on migratory Peregrine falcon chicks found within the Kingdom. To support sustainability and preserve specific lineages, the auction excludes Saker falcons and other Peregrine varieties. The event is held at the Center's headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and is broadcast via television and social media platforms.
