National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis

The National FFA Convention is currently taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana, providing leadership and career development opportunities for students. The event features workshops, tours, and a career expo designed to introduce members to various agricultural paths, including plant science, animal science, and greenhouse management.

Cheryl Zimmerman, Wisconsin FFA Executive Director and National FFA Secretary, noted that many of the organization's over one million members nationwide do not come from traditional farming backgrounds. She emphasized that the convention helps students explore diverse post-secondary institutions and career opportunities within the agricultural sector.
