Kartik Aaryan wins National Film Award for Best Actor

Actor Kartik Aaryan won the National Film Award for Best Actor at the 72nd National Film Awards for his portrayal of Paralympic champion Murlikant Petkar in the film ‘Chandu Champion’. The ceremony, held in Kevadia, Gujarat, saw Aaryan receive the honor from President Droupadi Murmu.

Following his win, Aaryan visited the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal in Mumbai to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. During the visit, he placed his National Film Award at the feet of the deity. Aaryan expressed his gratitude on social media, describing the achievement as a dream realized for a ‘small town boy’ from Gwalior.

In the same awards ceremony, Randeep Hooda received the National Film Award for Best Debut Director for his film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’. Hooda, who also starred in the film, dedicated the award to his team and reflected on his 25-year career in the industry.
