National Geographic Travel has released its list of the 25 best places to visit in 2027, highlighting locations that feature significant cultural celebrations, new itineraries, and revitalization projects.

Featured destinations include Puerto Rico, noted for its community-driven traditions and cultural mix, and Salvador, Brazil, which is recognized for its upcoming 2027 Women’s World Cup hosting duties and major festivals like Carnival and the festivities for Iemanjá. Other notable mentions include Chile’s Cabo Froward National Park, Leipzig, Germany, for its Beethoven anniversary celebrations, and the Pacific Coast Highway in California.

The selection also highlights improved accessibility to remote areas, such as Maya Ka’an in Mexico via new rail connections, and historical milestones, including the 200th anniversary of the first commercial railroad in Baltimore, Maryland.
