National Geographic documentary Everest: The Other Side explores North Face ski descent

National Geographic has released the documentary “Everest: The Other Side,” which chronicles mountaineer Jim Morrison’s attempt to become the first person to ski down the North Face of Mount Everest. The film captures the emotional and physical challenges of navigating what is described as the most difficult and dangerous climb on the mountain.

To celebrate the theatrical release, Oscar-winning director Jimmy Chin and Morrison performed a promotional stunt by rappelling down a billboard. Chin, known for his Academy Award-winning work on “Free Solo,” stated that he is drawn to stories with deep human connections. Morrison expressed hope that the film inspires viewers to tackle their own personal challenges and pursue their goals.
