Various traffic incidents and legal disturbances have been reported across Taiwan, China, and Canada.
In Taiwan, a 57-year-old man was arrested at a Lin Kou library after causing a disturbance; police discovered he was a wanted fugitive for drunk driving. In Kaohsiung, a prominent screw industry chairman, Chang Tu-huo, died after being struck by a truck while walking. Additionally, a semi-trailer on Highway 1 in Yunlin overturned into a slope following a suspected tire blowout, though the driver was uninjured.
