National Immigration Agency hosts cultural integration events

The National Immigration Agency is hosting various cultural activities to support the integration of new residents in Taiwan. In Yunlin, a family education course featured a long-term resident sharing her experiences of moving from Guangzhou nearly 30 years ago. The session used traditional cuisine, specifically steamed pork with black bean sauce, as a medium for cultural exchange and to alleviate homesickness among participants.

In New Taipei City, the agency collaborated with local service centers to host a Japanese culture promotion event. Participants engaged in Japanese language learning and experienced seasonal traditions, including learning about summer festivals, fireworks, and yukata culture. The event also included a DIY activity where participants painted traditional round fans (uchiwa).
