National Jewish Assembly demands action after London protest arrests

The National Jewish Assembly in the United Kingdom is calling for thorough investigations and charges following an anti-Israel march organized by the Palestine Coalition in London. During the event, 20 individuals were arrested. The Metropolitan Police reported that 19 of those arrested were released, with 18 released on bail pending further investigation. One 57-year-old man arrested for breach of the peace was released without bail and will not face further investigation.

Reports from the incident include allegations of a woman performing a Nazi salute and others vandalizing the Battle of Britain memorial. One individual, 23-year-old Jerome Ingham McKenna, has been charged with assault on an emergency worker and is scheduled to appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on November 23.

Steve Winston, managing director of the National Jewish Assembly, stated that the group will monitor the police response to ensure accountability. Winston emphasized that the true test of the authorities will be whether enquiries are pursued promptly and justified charges are brought.
