National Lottery winner from Aldershot wins £10,000 monthly for 30 years

A man from Aldershot, Hampshire, has won the top prize in the National Lottery ‘Set for Life’ game, which provides £10,000 a month for 30 years. The winner, who has played the game regularly since its launch six years ago, matched five main numbers and the Life Ball in the draw held on Thursday, June 25.

Since the ‘Set for Life’ game launched in March 2019, more than 95 individuals have claimed the top prize. The game’s structure offers a guaranteed monthly payout rather than a lump sum; the top tier provides £10,000 monthly for 30 years, while matching five numbers without the Life Ball provides £10,000 monthly for one year.

Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, noted the winner's long-term loyalty to the game. The National Lottery continues to fund community projects across the UK, having raised over £53 billion since its inception.
