National Military Schools announce deadline for RMS CET 2026 applications

The deadline for submitting online applications for the Rashtriya Military School Common Entrance Test (RMS CET) 2026 is October 20. This application cycle is for admission to classes 6 and 9 for the 2027-28 academic session. While the application portal closes at 5:00 PM on October 20, the deadline for paying the examination fee extends until 11:50 PM the same day.

Candidates who miss the initial deadline may still apply between October 21 and October 25, 2026, by paying an additional late fee of ₹500. The written entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted in pen-and-paper mode on December 13, 2026.

Eligibility requirements specify that for class 6 admission, candidates must be currently studying in or have passed class 5. For class 9, candidates must be in or have passed class 8 from a recognized school. Age limits are calculated based on March 31, 2027, with specific birth date ranges required for each grade level. Application fees are set at ₹1,000 for General and OBC categories, and ₹750 for SC, ST, and dependents of war martyrs.
