National Movement calls for three days of prayer for Nigeria
The National Movement for Tinubu-Shettima 2027 – Forward Nigeria – has called for three days of national prayers to support Nigeria’s economic recovery, peace, and sustainable development. In a statement signed by National Coordinating Chairman Prof. Rufa’i Ahmed Alkali, the group expressed optimism that the country can overcome current challenges as it approaches its 66th Independence Anniversary in October 2026.
The initiative seeks to strengthen hope and unity while supporting the economic and social reforms led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. The movement urged Nigerians to remain confident in these reforms and support their continuation beyond 2027 to ensure consolidation.
Specific prayer focuses include the success of productive sectors such as farmers, traders, and transporters, with an emphasis on improving food security and agricultural production. Additionally, the movement called for prayers regarding national security, specifically seeking an end to kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism, while commending the sacrifices of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies.
