National Network for Children launches exhibition on 150 years of child rights
The National Network for Children (NNC) has launched a national tour for a traveling exhibition titled ‘150 Years of Children’s Organizations in Bulgaria – History, Lessons, and Future’. The exhibition, consisting of 21 canvases, chronicles the history of people, organizations, and civic initiatives dedicated to child rights and welfare in Bulgaria over the last 150 years.
Accompanying the exhibition is the ‘Encyclopedia of Children’s Organizations in Bulgaria: Chronicles of a Child Rights Activist’, authored by NNC Executive Director Georgi Bogdanov. Published to mark the 20th anniversary of the Network, the 580-page book documents more than 600 organizations, initiatives, and activists. The tour is expected to visit approximately 24 cities across the country.
The initiative arrives as discussions regarding child welfare and policy directions in Bulgaria continue to gain importance. The tour aims to highlight the contributions of civil society and the personal stories of those working on the ground to support children and families.
