Rockville and Salisbury Hold National Night Out Events on Aug 4

Rockville, Maryland, will host National Night Out across dozens of neighborhoods on Tuesday, Aug. 4, with block parties, cookouts, moon‑bounces, carnival games and chances for residents to meet police officers. Councilmember Adam Van Grack listed participating areas such as Rockshire, Horizon Hill, Twinbrook and many others, noting the event’s goal of strengthening police‑community partnerships and crime‑prevention awareness.

Salisbury, Maryland, will celebrate the 43rd annual National Night Out on Aug. 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bell Tower Green. The city will provide free food, music and activities for all ages, with community organizations offering health and education resources. Salisbury Transit will run free buses to the park, and the city council will hold an early meeting so members can attend the event afterwards. Both cities aim to promote safety awareness and neighborhood cohesion through the nationwide initiative founded by the National Association of Town Watch.
