National Night Out events set for Aug 4 in North Carolina and New Jersey

The annual National Night Out community‑safety campaign will be held on Tuesday, Aug 4, 2025 in multiple U.S. locations. In Smithfield, North Carolina, the celebration runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Smithfield Community Park and features free food, a petting zoo, bounce houses, K‑9 demonstrations, and a fire‑sprinkler showcase. Participating agencies include the Smithfield Police Department, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Smithfield Fire Department, Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, and other local first‑responders.

In Northwest New Jersey, towns across Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties will host their own events, generally beginning at 5–6 p.m. and ending between 8–10 p.m. Venues range from parks and municipal complexes to school fields.
