National Nutrition Agency to adjust SPPG incentive rates

Sudaryono, head of Indonesia’s National Nutrition Agency (BGN), announced that incentives for Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) will no longer be a flat rate of Rp6 million per day. The agency is moving toward a performance-based model where payments are adjusted according to the number of free nutritious meal portions produced daily.

Speaking after a meeting with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta, Sudaryono stated that the previous uniform payment system was unfair, noting that kitchens producing different volumes—such as 2,000 versus 3,000 portions—were receiving the same amount.

The BGN is currently preparing a new head of agency regulation to formalize this change. Sudaryono indicated that the new incentive scheme could be announced as early as September 4 or September 7, 2026.
