Giuseppe Verdi Nabucco National Opera and Ballet opera performance North Macedonia

The National Opera and Ballet will perform Giuseppe Verdi’s lyrical-dramatic opera, “Nabucco,” on October 30 at 20:00. The four-act production explores the history of the Jewish people and their longing for freedom and homeland.

The performance will be conducted by Miron Michaelidis and directed by Renato Bonajuto. Scenography and costume design are provided by Flavio Arbetti and Artemio Cabasi. The cast includes Marjan Jovanoski in the title role, Zlata Toshevska Dimovska as Abigaille, Nikolina Janevska as Fenena, Gjorgji Cuckovski as Ismael, and Aleksandar Stefanoski as Zacharias.

Supported by the National Opera and Ballet orchestra, choir, and ballet ensemble, the production features a creative team including choreographer Maja Mitrovska-Bogojevska and light designer Milcho Aleksandrov.
