National Organization for Medicines recalls 39 batches of epilepsy and hypertension drugs

The National Organization for Medicines (EOF) has initiated a recall of 39 batches of two pharmaceutical products used to treat epilepsy and hypertension. The decision follows a notification from Cypriot authorities regarding a voluntary recall for precautionary reasons.

The affected products are CLONOTRIL TABLET 2MG/TAB and METHYLDOPA/REMEDICA F. C. TAB 250MG/TAB. Both medications are manufactured by Remedica Ltd, based in Limassol, Cyprus.

The recall was triggered after stability monitoring programs identified results that fell outside of expected physicochemical specifications. This indicates that certain batches did not maintain the required characteristics throughout their intended shelf life.

EOF has instructed IFET MAE to immediately contact recipients and withdraw the specific batches from the market. The recall is limited strictly to the batches listed in the official announcement and does not affect the entirety of the product lines.
