National Organization for Medicines warns of 20 dangerous weight loss supplements

The National Organization for Medicines (EOF) has issued a warning regarding 20 weight loss supplements that contain undeclared and dangerous substances. Following reports from Spanish authorities, testing revealed that sibutramine—a pharmaceutical substance withdrawn from the European market in 2010 due to safety concerns—was present in all tested samples.

Additionally, seven of the products were found to contain phenolphthalein, a substance classified as a potential carcinogen that is prohibited for pharmaceutical use. The EOF advises anyone who has purchased these products to stop using them immediately.

The warning highlights the risks of purchasing health products from unapproved sources, such as websites and social media platforms. The affected products include Slim U, Slim U Pro, P57 Hoodia, Bikini Siluet, Perfect Slim 24 14 Día, Fatzorb, AB Slim, Get Lean, Slimina, Burn and Slim, Body Slim, Black Panther, and various Aphrodite-branded supplements, among others.
