National Organization for Medicines warns of dangerous online drugs

The National Organization for Medicines (EOFH) has issued an urgent warning regarding the proliferation of dangerous, unauthorized medicines and dietary supplements being sold online. The organization reports a rise in products being marketed with therapeutic claims—sometimes disguised as dietary supplements—that lack official marketing authorization and have questionable quality and origins.

Many websites appearing to be Greek are selling these products, which pose significant risks to public health. The EOFH notes that unscrupulous sellers are using low prices and attractive advertising to lure consumers.

Citizens are advised to exercise extreme caution, particularly when encountering websites that require users to submit contact forms or call telephone centers without providing full company details, or sites that mimic Greek language and style but lack legitimate credentials.
