National Paralympic Committee of Côte d’Ivoire hosts leadership training

The National Paralympic Committee of Côte d’Ivoire (CNP-CIV) held a training session from September 3 to 5, 2026, in Abidjan-Yopougon to strengthen local leadership within the Paralympic movement.

Part of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Development Model and the Sport for Mobility (SfM) program, the initiative provided eleven participants with training led by international instructor Nyasha Mharakurwa. The curriculum focused on the international Paralympic structure, grassroots development, talent detection, and creating opportunities for people with disabilities.

Participants also worked on institutional partnerships, networking, and social inclusion advocacy. A key outcome of the session was the co-construction and finalization of the CNP-CIV’s two-year strategic action plan, designed to guide the future development of Para Sport in the country.
