National Press Council announces final candidate list for elections
The interim committee in charge of the National Press Council has announced the final list of candidates for the upcoming professional elections. Out of 41 applications submitted, 39 candidates were accepted, while two files were rejected for failing to meet the necessary legal and regulatory requirements.
The committee emphasized that the selection process was conducted to ensure transparency and equal opportunity. The final list of candidates was organized based on the date and time each application was submitted.
Accepted candidates are required to appoint representatives to monitor the voting process at polling stations. These representatives must provide a written proxy and a national identity card to verify their status. The deadline for submitting the names of these representatives and their respective proxies is September 10, 2026.
