National Revenue Agency finds 42 violations during flower vendor inspections

The National Revenue Agency (NAP) identified 42 violations during 88 inspections of flower vendors across Bulgaria ahead of the September 15 school start date. The most frequent infraction was the failure to issue cash receipts, with 19 cases recorded, including three instances where vendors lacked fiscal devices entirely.

Inspectors also discovered eight cases of discrepancies between cash on hand and reported amounts. In Sofia alone, 19 violations were found, eight of which involved missing receipts. Strahil Donchev, a department head within the Fiscal Control Directorate, noted that preliminary data suggests an increase in violations compared to previous years.

Sanctions for failing to issue receipts range from 500 to 2,000 euros, with repeat offenses potentially reaching 20,000 euros. The agency continues its campaign, utilizing methods such as ‘secret shoppers’ to ensure compliance.
