The National Sanctuary of Aparecida in São Paulo is beginning the Novena and Feast of the Patroness of Brazil 2026. From October 3 to 11, the celebrations will follow the central theme, “With Mary, in community, to know and practice the Word,” emphasizing the importance of Holy Scripture and communal faith.

The schedule includes afternoon novenas at 3:00 PM led by Redemptorist Missionaries and solemn novenas at 7:00 PM featuring guest bishops from various Brazilian regions. This year marks a significant milestone for the Archdiocese of Aparecida, as it is the first Novena presided over by Dom Mário Antonio da Silva in his capacity as Archbishop, following his appointment by the Pope in March.

Additional activities planned for the period include a cycling tour, a motorcade, a Memory Procession, and the Patroness Festival.
