National School Bus Inspection Training Program held in Nevada
Transportation professionals recently gathered at the STN EXPO West in Reno, Nevada, for the National School Bus Inspection Training Program. The initiative, developed by Marshall Casey, aims to enhance vehicle safety and reliability by training participants to exceed minimum state and federal Department of Transportation inspection requirements.
The program included classroom instruction followed by hands-on training at the Washoe County School District’s new $33 million George Getto Central Transportation Yard in Sparks. This 36,396-square-foot facility features an eight-bay school bus shop, a white fleet shop, and dedicated training spaces designed to support fleet readiness and skilled maintenance.
