National Sports Games 2026: Ho Chi Minh City dominates table tennis

At the 2026 National Sports Games, Ho Chi Minh City continues to dominate the table tennis competitions. In the mixed doubles final, the duo of Nguyen Van Nam and Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh secured the championship with a 3-1 victory against the People's Public Security team.

Ho Chi Minh City also showcased its strength in the women's doubles event, where all finalists represented the same city, resulting in an internal competition for the gold medal.

In swimming news, rising American-Vietnamese swimmer Watson Nguyen is expected to compete for An Giang at the upcoming games in Ho Chi Minh City. Nguyen, a US national champion in the 50m breaststroke, is a student at the University of Pennsylvania and has recently achieved significant success in both US national and Ivy League competitions.
