National Sports Week activities held in Zeewolde and Oldambt

The National Sports Week is being observed across various Dutch municipalities, featuring diverse activities designed to promote health and community engagement.

In Zeewolde, the event kicked off with a Life and Movement Market on September 19. The market featured fifty stalls, sports demonstrations, and cultural performances. Local asylum seekers participated by showcasing crafts such as woodcarving and crochet, with proceeds from their sales donated to the De Kostmand food bank. The week-long program includes activities for all ages through September 27.

In the municipality of Oldambt, the National Sports Week runs from September 18 to September 26. Local sports clubs are opening their doors to offer activities such as cycling, pitch and putt, walking, and racket sports. Specific programs include dynamic tennis, community walks, and youth fitness clubs, aimed at introducing residents to local sporting opportunities.
