National Statistics Division launches media blitz for census registration

The National Statistics Division in Antigua and Barbuda is launching an extensive media campaign to encourage public participation in the ongoing census registration process. Starting Monday, August 10, 2026, officials from the National Housing and Population Committee will appear on various radio and television programs to provide information regarding the registration efforts that have been underway for approximately ten to eleven months.

Key officials, including Director of the National Bureau of Statistics Statchel Edwards and Deputy Census Officers Tracelyn Joseph and Debbie Barnes, are scheduled for media appearances. The outreach strategy utilizes multiple channels, including electronic billboards, social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp, and public service announcements from government leaders. Additionally, the department is continuing its recruitment drive for census-related employment.
