National Sustainable House Route seeks energy-saving examples

The National Sustainable House Route is calling on homeowners to share their energy-saving experiences. Residents who have implemented measures such as underfloor heating, cavity wall insulation, or complete ventilation systems can register their homes on a national platform to create personal property profiles.

These profiles allow others to read first-hand accounts, ask questions online, and learn about various energy-saving solutions ranging from radiator foil to advanced systems. More than 2,500 people have already participated in the initiative.

In addition to the online platform, national open house days will take place on Saturday, October 31, and November 7. During these events, hundreds of homeowners will open their doors to allow visitors to see energy-saving installations in person and speak directly with residents. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning, the province of Gelderland, and over 100 municipalities.
