National Television Awards announces 2026 nominations

The National Television Awards (NTAs) has announced its 2026 nominations, featuring an all-female shortlist for the best drama performance category for the first time in the ceremony's history. The nominees include Sheridan Smith for ‘I Fought The Law’, Ruth Jones for ‘Run Away’, Vicky McClure for ‘Trigger Point’, Ella Bruccoleri for ‘The Other Bennet Sister’, and Judy Parfitt for ‘Call The Midwife’.

In the best TV presenter category, Ant & Dec face competition from Sir David Attenborough, Alison Hammond, Claudia Winkleman, and Stacey Solomon. Solomon has received three nominations, including a nod for best TV presenter. Other notable categories include reality competition, featuring ‘I’m A Celebrity...’ and ‘The Traitors’, and new drama, which includes the Canadian production ‘Heated Rivalry’.

The winners will be determined by a public vote and announced at a live ceremony on September 8, 2026.
