National Testing Agency eyes global expansion of exam framework
The National Testing Agency (NTA) plans to expand its examination framework internationally, potentially offering it as a digital public good to other nations, including members of the BRICS bloc. NTA Director General Abhishek Singh stated that the agency aims to eventually conduct examinations for global bodies and facilitate cross-border testing services.
Before pursuing global expansion, the NTA is prioritizing the consolidation of its domestic infrastructure to ensure fair, error-free, and transparent assessments. A key part of this strategy involves transitioning all examinations, including NEET, to computer-based testing (CBT).
To combat malpractice and enhance security, the agency is integrating artificial intelligence and biometric verification. These technologies will be used for both conducting tests and fraud prevention by analyzing data, logs, and analytics to ensure examination integrity.
