National Testing Agency revises 2026–27 examination calendar
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a revised examination calendar for the 2026–27 period, citing administrative reasons for the changes. The updated schedule supersedes all previously issued timelines for several major national-level entrance exams.
For JEE Main 2027 Session 1, registration opened on October 24, 2026, with a regular application deadline of November 22. A late registration window is available from November 23 to November 26, subject to an additional fee of Rs 500. The revised examination dates for Session 1 are scheduled for January 20–24 and January 28, 2027. Session 2 is proposed for April 2–7, 2027.
Other significant updates include the rescheduling of the UGC NET December 2026 cycle to December 14–18 and December 21. The Joint CSIR-UGC NET December cycle has been moved to December 19, 22, and 27. The NTA also announced revised dates for CUET PG 2027 and other examinations, advising candidates to rely solely on the official NTA website for the most current information.
