NTA releases tentative 2026-27 examination calendar
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a tentative examination calendar for the 2026-27 cycle, covering major national-level entrance and eligibility tests scheduled from December 2026 through March 2027.
Key examinations included in the schedule are JEE Main Session 1, proposed for January 22–24 and January 28–30, 2027, with January 31 serving as a buffer date. The UGC NET (December cycle) is tentatively set for December 14–19, while the Joint CSIR-UGC NET is scheduled for December 20–21. Other major exams include the Common University Entrance Test (Post-Graduate) (CUET PG) in March 2027, the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) on February 7, 2027, and the NIFT entrance exam on January 10, 2027.
The NTA noted that all dates are tentative and subject to change due to administrative, academic, or logistical circumstances. The calendar also lists dates for various other assessments, including the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) exam, SWAYAM, and the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE).
