National Theatre of Greece performs Aristophanes at Dion

The National Theatre of Greece presented Aristophanes’ ‘Peace’ at the Dion Ancient Theatre as part of the 55th Olympus Festival. Directed by Nikos Karathanos, the production was described as an explosive political comedy that utilizes music, dance, and movement to transform themes of war into messages of hope.

The performance featured a cast of nine actors and musical arrangements by Foivos Delivoria, Angelos Triantafyllos, and Nikos Karathanos. The production aimed to serve as a condemnation of violence and inhumanity, connecting the ancient text to contemporary global issues.
