National Theatre Sarajevo to perform ‘Giselle’ ballet

The National Theatre Sarajevo will perform the white ballet ‘Giselle’ on Saturday, September 26, as part of Balet Festa 2026. The production features music by Adolphe Adam and is choreographed and directed by Edina Papo, based on the works of Petipa, Coralli, and Perrot.

Lead roles will be performed by Tamara Ljubičić as Giselle and Lev Semenov, a principal dancer from the National Theatre in Belgrade, as Count Albrecht. The performance will be accompanied by the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by maestro Dario Vučić.

The production includes various soloists and the ensemble of the National Theatre Sarajevo Ballet. Artistic support includes Anton Bogov and Mia Prašo as assistant choreographers, Slobodan Perišić for scenography, and Amna Kunovac-Zekić for costume design.
