National theatres in Timișoara and Moldova announce new seasonal activities

The National Theatre Timișoara (TNTm) has launched its 2026-2027 season. The debut production, ‘BOLNAVII’ by Antonio Álamo, directed by Irina Moscu, features sign language interpretation to increase accessibility for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. This initiative is part of a new management direction to provide inclusive performances for people with special needs.

The theatre's September schedule includes several upcoming productions such as ‘MATA HARI’, ‘AMINTIRI DIN EPOCA DE ȘCOALĂ’, and ‘ADEVĂRUL’.

In Moldova, the ‘Eugène Ionesco’ National Theatre is hosting an Open Doors Day on September 9, 2026. The event, running from 11:00 to 17:00, invites students, young people, and the public to explore the theatre's behind-the-scenes operations.
