National Youth Day events scheduled in Maricá and Pitangui

The 2026 National Youth Day (DNJ) will be celebrated in two different Brazilian locations this Sunday, October 18.

In Maricá, Rio de Janeiro, the event is organized by the Archdiocese of Niterói and is expected to draw approximately 14,000 people to the Orla do Marine in São José do Imbassaí. The program includes workshops, Holy Mass led by three bishops, and musical performances by the group Cristo Alegria. Local authorities expect the gathering to boost local commerce and religious tourism.

Simultaneously, in Pitangui, Minas Gerais, the DNJ is expected to gather around 6,000 participants from across the Diocese of Divinópolis. The day will feature a walk from the Epamig headquarters to the Pitangui Exhibition Park, followed by preaching and a Holy Mass presided over by Bishop Dom Geovane Luís da Silva.
