National Youth Service Corps members recognized for service in Osun and Sokoto

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has received commendations for the conduct of its members during recent activities in Nigeria. In Osun State, Coordinator Ekeng Kubiangha praised corps members serving as ad hoc staff during the governorship election. He noted that members followed safety guidelines and discharged their duties without intimidation following the election, which saw Governor Ademola Adeleke declared the winner.

In Sokoto State, Governor Ahmed Aliyu, represented by Alhaji Muhammad Bello Sifawa, urged the 2026 Batch B Stream 11 corps members to act as agents of change. During a swearing-in ceremony at the Farfaru orientation camp, the governor encouraged the youth to use their skills to address developmental challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and rising crime within their host communities.
