Nationalist Citizens Party of India joins NDA’s ‘Mangal Milan’ parliamentary meeting

On 28 July 2026, MPs of the newly formed Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) attended the National Democratic Alliance’s weekly parliamentary strategy session, known as “Mangal Milan”, for the first time. The legislators praised the alliance’s “organised system” and said the meeting gave them insight into upcoming bills, export policies and development initiatives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering, affirming that the government “stands with the students” amid the NEET examination paper‑leak controversy. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju relayed Modi’s call for strict action on the leak. The session, held in the GMC Balayogi Auditorium of the Parliament Library Building, also saw brief walk‑outs by opposition members protesting NCPI’s invitation.
